Born in New York and of Puerto Rican descent, Tomas Cookman is a leading global Latin music advocate. Founder of Nacional Records and the company Industria Works, he has been recognized as a “Billboard phone numbers in the philippines Latin Power Player” and “Billboard Indie Power Player.” Based in Los Angeles and with teams in various cities around the world, Cookman is also the creator of the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference), a key conference in the Latin music industry.
