One thing that many Instagrammers wonder is how many followers does Instagram pay you?

The question doesn't make sense. Instagram doesn't pay you ANYTHING for having followers (otherwise some of them would have already made a fortune). What is true is that you can monetize your Instagram account if your account has enough reach, but not because Instagram gives you money but because certain brands may be interested in you promoting them to your followers.

How to make money with Instagram
Contacting brands and advertisers
Depending on the theme of your Instagram account, you can contact one type of advertiser or another. For example, if you are one of those who dedicate yourself to showing your different looks, you can contact fashion or makeup brands and propose a collaboration to promote their products; if you are one of those who photographs everything you eat, you can try with restaurants, food companies, etc.; if you are passionate about sports, with fitness brands or sportswear stores, and so on.

Will brands laugh at you or make you a juicy offer to truemoney database them? That depends on your level of reach on the network. There is no set number at which an Instagram account becomes juicy for brands, but personally I wouldn't consider making money with less than 1,000 quality followers.

You can write to the brands yourself or use one of those marketplaces where influencers and advertisers are found. These marketplaces can facilitate the first contact, but I recommend that you always try to be the one to contact the brand directly, since intermediaries always mean less money for you.

It's also possible that brands will contact you directly, but that won't happen unless you have thousands of followers. (Here are some tips to get them.)

Selling your photos
Not all the money you can make on Instagram depends on the number of followers.

If your photos are of good quality, there are many image banks that may be willing to pay money for them. A good example of this is Shutterstock, which pays for images, videos or vectors. It is a good way to make money from your creativity.

Selling your account
A legion of followers is a significant asset on the Internet. If you get tired of your Instagram account, you can try to sell it to the highest bidder so that someone can give it a new lease on life by taking advantage of the followers you have gained.
