Nintendo creates Pokémon Go, a game that uses augmented reality to hunt Pokémon

Post by shammi88 »

Nintendo announced today a new game in its Pokémon line of games. This time aimed at mobile devices (a field that Nintendo itself was very reluctant to enter), the game is called Pokémon Go and uses two things to make it much more interesting than any other title in the franchise: GPS and augmented reality .

To capture Pokémon, players need to go to specific locations where they are, point their phone's camera at the location where the monster is and throw a Poké Ball to capture it. The game also has the option of trading Pokémon and, of course, battles between trainers. There also seems to be a kind of group battle , where several players team up against a Pokémon and have to defeat it within a time limit, but the details of how it works have not yet been revealed by Nintendo.

Nintendo has also announced that it will create a device how to get usa phone number called Pokémon Go Plus . It is a wearable that connects to a smartphone and vibrates when there is a Pokémon or trainer nearby or the player passes through a special location.

Pokémon Go looks pretty familiar, right? That's because before it became a real game (that is, when it officially launches next year), it was just an April Fool's joke that Nintendo developed with Google last year. Watch the video of the prank below.

Apparently the game was so popular among fans that N was forced to bring the game to life. And that's exactly what's going to happen – Pokémon Go for Android and iOS will be released in 2016 , will be free and will have several microtransaction options. There is no release date or price set for Pokémon Go Plus yet.
