The last point is constant growth targets

Another no-go is occupational therapy . You either get a staff position or are asked to develop concepts and ideas to improve the company. The end result is often similar: nobody reads the reports or the boss only takes a quick look at the weeks of work. Next steps? Nothing! Congratulations! You have created a document for the document filing system - please don't forget to back it up twice!

The next no-go comes with narcissists who like to put on an ego show and like to show employees: “I'm the boss, you're nothing.” You will notice that soon no one wants to work for the narcissist anymore and if they do, they only do the bare minimum or avoid the narcissist.

Employees sacrifice themselves and give everything for an important goal of the telecommunications email list company. It was achieved - 20% growth in one year and a lot of overtime. But the only thing left is further growth targets and more new growth targets. Good employees sacrifice themselves for 1-3 years for these goals and notice that it just keeps going in a vicious circle. Goals are not appreciated, they just multiply - there is growth on top of growth. The result: work to rule!

Leadership is becoming more and more complex and you realize that it is not your job to squeeze the maximum out of every employee. Leadership is about conveying meaning and giving freedom. I see it as offering employees a stage on which they can rock out. Managers tend to overestimate their own ego and want to make a name for themselves. My personal metaphor is: offer a stage on which employees can rock out and stand at the side of the stage like a tour manager.
