To showcase key trends in the global fruit and vegetable market, gain access to new technologies and production processes, product marketing, and the international market, Sebrae-SP is bringing together 16 entrepreneurs and rural producers from the state of São Paulo to Madrid, Spain, for the Fruit Attraction Business Mission. From October 3rd to 11th, participants will visit the world's second-largest and most important fruit and vegetable trade fair, as well as several establishments and rural properties.
Currently surpassed only by Fruit Logistic Berlin, Fruit Attraction brings together more than 1,500 exhibiting companies and over 70,000 participants from 120 countries. Held at the Institución Ferial de Madrid (IFEMA) from October 4th to 6th, it boasts a privileged climate and location for production and the potential to become a prominent hub for European fruit and vegetable sales.
For this Business Mission, Sebrae-SP selected 16 rural producers and email list entrepreneurs from sectors such as fruit, agriculture, mushroom, fruit and vegetable, and coffee growers. "This is a great opportunity for small producers to learn about the latest developments in the fruit and vegetable market, which is growing every year worldwide.
Upon returning from the mission, Sebrae-SP will organize training events with lectures to share the knowledge gained at the events and locations visited with all producers interested in staying up to date on global trends in the sector," says Tirso Meirelles, president of Sebrae-SP, who is accompanying the group in Madrid.
In addition to participating in Fruit Attraction, to several small businesses in Madrid and the surrounding region, such as Mercamadrid; the Los Joaquines sausage factory; one of Madrid's largest organic extra virgin olive oil farms, Oleum Laguna; and the markets of Vallehermoso, Chamberí, San Miguel, and San Antón, among others.
The technical visits are led by Sebrae-SP consultants specializing in agribusiness, food service, internationalization, and innovation, providing information and adapting concepts for small businesses in Brazil. "
The visits are also important for rural producers to expand their knowledge of new agricultural technologies, trends, and innovations, and to network with the market," emphasizes Sebrae-SP's managing director, Marco Vinholi.
