Among the biggest advantages of formalizing as an individual microentrepreneur (MEI) is the possibility of obtaining credit from financial institutions, which would not be feasible in informality, without a CNPJ.
In addition to formalizing the business , in order to obtain credit, it is necessary to prove to the financial institution that the company will be able to produce enough to pay back the loan. Therefore, it is important to present a business plan , which defines where the money will be invested and how it will increase the business's revenue. This will increase your chances of obtaining credit.
We have brought you this step-by-step guide on where and how to get credit, as well as information on the necessary documentation. Check it out!

Microcredit: what is it and why apply for it?
Microcredit is a special loan for individual microentrepreneurs, granted in a smaller amount and with less bureaucracy. It can be obtained from BNDES through agents who operate resources for microentrepreneurs. The granting is supervised and an agent visits the MEI's workplace to check the needs and conditions of the service, as well as the payment conditions.
Its main advantages are:
Fast credit granting tailored to the MEI business;
Low transaction cost;
Absence of bureaucracy.
