Almost 3,000 people gathered yesterday at the Barcelona Forum to attend the major marketing event, Hoy es Marketing, organised annually by the ESIC business and marketing school.
There were many prestigious professionals who shared their experiences and knowledge related to the business world, and more specifically marketing and communication. Javier Molina – Professor and Member of car owner data the Advisory Committee and Board of the EdV of Esic -, Miguel Gallo - Partner at Daemon Quest -, Gonzalo Errejón - General Manager of ABM Rexel -, Jesús Ángel Pastor - Head of Relationship Communication and Business Marketing at Telefónica Spain -, Artur Callau i Berenguer - Marketing Director of Criteria Caixa Corp - and Félix Tena - Founder and President of Imaginarium - are just some of the speakers who participated in the event.
Some of the many ideas that emerged from the 2010 Barcelona edition of Hoy es Marketing that we liked and would like to highlight:
– Social networks are not a fad but a change , and they do not, and will not, replace personal relationships.
– We are currently experiencing a period of crisis that has reduced the life expectancy of companies from 43 years to just 14. Right now, in order to survive, the short term must be prioritized over the long term. To overcome this period of recession, one of the keys is to focus on internal resources because they are the most solid foundation of companies, and not to focus on the external environment.
