One of such tools is the use of reinforcement templates in Autodesk Revit software, better known as ADSK templates. In this article, we will consider new reinforcement methods in templates introduced in Revit 2022, as well as the advantages of using keys for reinforcement specification. The described process was quite labor-intensive. Since each type of reinforcement had its own specification, if it was necessary to change one parameter (for example, diameter), it was necessary to review and edit the specifications and sizes again, which slowed down the work.

Revit 2022 introduced a new reinforcement method using keys, which significantly simplified the design and execution process. The main advantage of this method is the reduction in the number of reinforcement sizes and simplification of work with specifications.

Simplified reinforcement selection . Instead of creating dozens of sizes for each reinforcement diameter, one basic type is now sufficient. All changes, such as diameter or reinforcement class, can be assigned via keys.
Convenient work with specifications . Key specifications allow you to automatically take into account all the parameters of the fittings without having to manually edit each size. This makes the process of preparing documentation faster and easier.
Fewer errors when working with reinforcement . Specification keys minimize the likelihood of errors, as the correct parameters for the reinforcement are automatically selected based on the specified keys.
Flexibility in settings . The reinforcement process has become more flexible, as it is now possible to easily change the characteristics of the reinforcement without the need to create new sizes or adjust existing ones.
